In WWII these bunkers were part of the "Atlantikwall", now they belong to perhaps the most special park in Zeeland: Groede Podium.
That makes this location interesting for both children and parents. While the kids have fun in one of the many playgrounds, adults can take a bunker tour. There are many bunkers that you can walk in, around or on top of. Information boards show are available to tell you about their prior function.
The park is quite large both the bunkers and playgrounds are spread out throughout the park. There is a nice water playground, several climbing frames, a petting zoo and a restaurant.
Being adventurous pays off, so also take a look at the edges of the park, because there are also a number of play areas hidden there.
The restaurant also offers the opportunity to play in their garden for a small entrance fee. In summertime you'll find several bouncy castles and trampolines. The carousel is guaranteed to be a hit for the little ones.
The food and drinks are certainly ok, but we enjoyed the very friendly and hospitable staff the most.
In short: absolutely worth a visit!
